Dargaville Kindergarten is located within walking distance to the Dargaville township and close to the historical Northern Wairoa river. Children and whanau come from both rural and urban areas.
Our programme is based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki. Our programme develops from childrens and teachers interests and passions. The development of childrens learning occurs through opportunies to; experiment, play, problem solve, imitate and model, achieve new skills, express ideas and thoughts, explore and discover, imagine and create,give reasons and theories, have meaningful experiences and form meaningful relationships. We believe all children have the right to make a valued contribution to society.
Our teachers are passionate and experienced educators, whom are committed to ongoing learning and reflective practices and recognise the importance of our dual heritage and the diversity of the community we live in.
