Summary
The primary role of the Human Resources (HR) Manager is to employ and sustain a high quality work force throughout Northland Kindergarten Association. This includes the administrative duties required to appoint staff as well as to support Head Office staff with implementation of best practice in line with the relevant employment legislation and the Kindergarten Teachers’ Collective Agreement (KTCA) as applicable.
The successful applicant will posses a deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the cultural heritage of Aotearoa.
Role Overview
This role will provide:
· Full facilitation of the appointments process
· Support to all staff to ensure consistency, robustness and transparency in recruitment, the application of policies and procedures, and the process for workforce management and development
· Constant review and refreshing of human resource documentation, resources and tools to ensure these are always fit for purpose
· Management of complaints and disciplinary process, within current employment law best practices
· Implementation of appropriate induction, onboarding and exit processes
· HR advice to all staff
· Policy review advice on all employment related procedures
· Support to the Finance and Payroll Administrators to ensure payroll processes are completed accurately and on time
· Reporting on staffing trends
· Representation at internal and external opportunities that are HR related
· Reporting to the Chief Executive and the Board as required
Requirements
Applicant Requirements:
· Proven Experience and success in a senior Human Resources role
· Proven desire to constantly improve systems and processes to benefit the organisation in multiple areas
· The ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
· The ability to provide professional written documentation for reporting, presentations, policies and procedures
· The right to work in New Zealand and a current Drivers Licence
