Te Timatatanga o Te Matauranga Whare Kohungahunga
Ko te manu e kai ana i te miro, nona te ngahere
Ko te manu e kai ana i te matauranga, nona te ao.
The bird that partakes of the miro berry rules the forest
The bird that partakes of education rules the world
When it comes to our tamariki, mokopuna, we all want the best start to their education, and kindergarten can offer exactly that, and more. They are our most precious taonga. At our bilingual kindergarten we foster self esteem and a sense of security through a warm and caring environment.
Through children’s play they learn to:
• To be culturally empowered
• Actively discover what they are interested in
• Problem solve
• Ask questions
• Support others
• Make informed decisions
• Develop confidence and competence
• Learn to communicate with others…and so much more!
Monday - Friday 8.15am - 12.30pm
Monday - Thusday 8.15 - 2.45pm
We also offer 20 free hours available for all children attending the kindergarten over 3 years.
Our whanau say….
“It has a really good aura, feeling. The staff and the children are friendly. It’s bright and well resourced. I felt that the first day I walked in.”
"They (the children) are intereacting with other kids. I have seen a lot of positive changes in my child."
We welcome all tamariki and whanau – Nau mai Haere Mai
