Parihaka Kindergarten
Welcome to Parihaka Kindergarten. We are centrally located, nestled half way up Mount Parihaka. Our kindergarten provides opportunities for exploration within a spacious attractive and well resourced outdoor natural setting. The indoor environment is stimulating and encourages learning and development.
The kindergarten caters for a diverse cross section of the community, many families coming from all corners of Whangarei. The individual learning aspirations of children and their families/whanau are met through inclusive practices and the high degree of collaboration, motivation and professionalism within the teaching team.
On 9 December 2011 we changed the name of our kindergarten to Parihaka Kindergarten. This has been a journey that started last year and we believe Parihaka Kindergarten is a name that reflects "who we are and where we are" and one that has significant meaning to our local community.
Session times are as follows -
Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 12.30pm OR 8.30am to 2.30pm
Friday - 8.30am to 12.45pm
We are uniquely flexible and listen to the needs of our families.
Kelly, Sue, Susan and Wendy are registered and qualified Early Childhood Teachers, each bringing with them their own special strengths and experience. All teachers hold current first aid certificates. Mandy, our Administrator works 24 hours per week in the kindergarten.
20 free ECE hours are available for children aged three years and over. We welcome visitors and would enjoy getting to know you and your child .... so come and see us.
