Parihaka Kindergarten
On 9 December 2011 we changed our name from Riverside Kindergarten to Parihaka Kindergarten. Parihaka reflects "who we are and where we are".
Welcome to Parihaka Kindergarten. We are centrally located, nestled half way up Mount Parihaka. Our kindergarten provides opportunities for exploration within a spacious attractive and well-resourced outdoor natural setting. The indoor environment is stimulating and encourages learning and development.
We cater to a diverse cross section of the community, many families coming from all corners of Whangarei. The individual learning aspirations of children and their families/whanau are met through inclusive practices and the high degree of collaboration, motivation and professionalism within the teaching team.
Kelly, Sue, Susan and Wendy are registered and qualified Early Childhood Teachers, each bringing with them their own special strengths and experience. Mandy, our Administrator supports the team and kindergarten community.
We are uniquely flexible and listen to the needs of our families.
20 free ECE hours are available for children aged three years and over. We welcome visitors and would enjoy getting to know you and your child .... so come and see us.
Session times are as follows -
Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 12.30pm OR 8.30am to 2.30pm
Friday - 8.30am to 12.45pm
