Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking a committed and motivated teacher to join the team at Te Kamo Kindergarten, Whangarei.
The teaching team at Te Kamo Kindergarten are committed to an emergent, child focused, play and resource-based curriculum, embracing the principles of the national early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki.
Te Kamo Kindergarten embraces and incorporates the Enviroschools kaupapa of sustainable practices. Whakawhanaungatanga is a core strength of the daily programme.
Te Kamo Kindergarten has four teachers and a part-time administrator. This kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 30 children between two and six years of age. Te Kamo Kindergarten is operational for 48 weeks per year. This 20-hour position will have varying daily hours.
Te Kamo Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. NKA adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023-2026.
Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate and first aid certificate.
